On May 1 Oakland Families Call for “No War, No Walls, No Raids”
Two years have passed since millions of immigrants took to the streets demanding human rights and calling for “legalization for all.” This year a coalition of Oakland community based organizations, community clinics, labor unions, student groups, and anti-war organizations have planned a multicultural, inter-generational event that focuses on the root causes of migration: economic displacement, trade policy, war and militarization, and calls for human rights, social services, sanctuary, peace and unity.
