Exhibit runs at East Side Arts Alliance from July 15 to August 15

Join us on August 4 for an opening reception and discussion with Critical Resistance and Justseeds Artists Cooperative artists Jesus Barraza, Melanie Cervantes and Fernando Marti as they talk about about culture and media that aims to dismantle, change, and build towards a world without prisons. We will highlight CR’s new book, Abolition Now! which documents ten years of the work of Critical Resistance fighting the Prison Industrial Complex (PIC). The accompanying exhibit showcases “Voices from the Outside,” a portfolio of silkscreen and stencil works against the PIC, created by Justseeds, a cooperative of political artists from the US, Mexico and Canada.

$5-$10 donation requested, no one turned away for lack of funds.  Wheelchair accessible.

Copies of Abolition Now! will be for sale ($5-15 sliding scale) at the event.  Check out this link for more information about Abolition Now!
