As a small art collective Dignidad Rebelde works diligently to create work that translates people’s stories into art that can be put back into the hands of the communities who inspire it. We have printed thousands of posters since we started project –many of which have reached the streets as pickets signs, schools as tools for education and community organizations as reflections of unity and solidarity. We do this work as grassroots artists whose love for our communities and struggles drive our work every day. We do this work by reaching into our pockets to sustain and fund the work we do to make sure the people have access to this art.
Many people have asked us how we financed creating 500 posters for the Oakland May Day march and once they found out we funded it out of pocket they asked how they could partner with us in this work. Others have asked how we continue to produce another 500 posters to send to Arizona for their National Day of Action On May 29th. This work is only possible when we partner with other people of conscience who see the importance of this kind of solidarity work. Partner with us in putting art back into the hands of the people by supporting the work of Dignidad Rebelde with a donation. Any amount helps.
